Any com­pany with more than 10 em­ploy­ees has to form an In­ter­nal Com­plaints Com­mit­tee (ICC). It should have one ex­ter­nal mem­ber from an NGO or an as­so­ci­a­tion or a per­son fa­mil­iar with is­sues of sex­ual ha­rass­ment The Act ap­plies to all women whether work­ing in or­gan­ised or un­or­gan­ised sec­tor, blue col­lar or white col­lar role

Manda­tory to or­gan­ise aware­ness ses­sions and train­ing of em­ploy­ees To pro­vide as­sis­tance if a woman em­ployee files a com­plaint

To treat sex­ual ha­rass­ment as a mis­con­duct and ini­ti­ate ac­tion

Pro­vide nec­es­sary fa­cil­i­ties to ICC to con­duct in­quiry

Dis­play at con­spic­u­ous places in the work­place the pe­nal con­se­quences of sex­ual ha­rass­ment
