TESLA’S Q4 PRODUCTION A MIXED BAG

-

Tesla sold 63,150 mass-market Model 3 sedans in the fourth quarter of 2018, well below analyst projection of 63,700, while production stood at 61,394. However, the company produced a total of 86,555 vehicles in Q4, an 8 per cent increase over Q3, and delivered 90,700 vehicles, again a quarterly record. Tesla is yet to come up with its $35,000 Model 3 sedans, but the price may soon become an issue as other brands are getting ready to hit the market. The company also announced a $2,000 price cut on all models to partially subsidise a reduction in the federal tax credit.
