GAS ON A HIGH

The escalation of domestic gas prices (62 per cent last October and 110 per cent in April) could nix India’s plans to double the share of gas in its energy mix. It has also prompted city gas distribution (CGD) companies to demand an increase in supply of cheaper gas from onshore fields under the administered price mechanism.
