New VC for NITI Ayog

Economist Suman Bery, a former DG of NCAER who has worked with the World Bank for 28 years, has been appointed the third Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog. He takes charge at a time when the economy is facing multiple challenges including slowing growth, rising inflation, and hardening of commodity prices induced by the Ukraine crisis.
