While Netflix is trying to fix password-sharing among subscriber­s to boost its revenues, Indian OTT players may also have to start looking at this rampant practice. After all, at 40 million, only a tenth of the OTT viewership actually pays for the services. But there’s a risk of driving away users by making it too hard to share an account.
