MANDARIN ORIENTAL, TAIPEI is celebrating its first anniversary with two special accommodation packages. The Anniversary Celebration package includes a stay at its Deluxe room and complimentary breakfast for two. The Sweet Indulgence package offers its Club City suite, complimentary breakfast for two, a discounted set menu dinner for two, and a discounted signature Oriental Essence Massage for two. The offer expires on September 30, 2015. MINOR HOTEL GROUP will enter the Australian market this year with an investment of AU$110 million through its Avani brand. The first two brands scheduled to launch in Perth are Avani Hotel and Avani Residences. INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP (IHG) and Sunflower FZE have signed a management agreement to launch boutique Hotel Indigo brand in the UAE in 2017. The 285-room Hotel Indigo Dubai Business Bay will be located close to the Burj Khalifa, as well as The Dubai Mall and emerging Design District. PREFERRED HOTEL GROUP has rebranded itself as Preferred Hotels and Resorts, with its 650 properties now organised in five collections — Legend, LVX (pronounced “lux”), Lifestyle, Connect and Preferred Residences. ANANTARA is expected to open a second property in Dubai in early 2018. The 290-room Anantara Dubai Creek will be located in Culture Village, currently being developed in the east of the city. PARK HOTELS has launched the second property of its brand Zone by The Park in Jaipur. Following this, it will also start work on hotels in Mahabalipuram, Chennai and Raipur in 2015 itself this year. MAYFAIR GANGTOK SPA RESORT and Casino in east India will add 24 rooms to its existing 68 rooms. Casino Mahjong at the resort will be relocated to accommodate a larger space. Both expansion projects will be completed by the end of 2016. DAIWIK HOTELS, an emerging hospitality chain launched its second property in pilgrim city Shirdi, Maharashtra. It is India’s only pilgrimage speciality hospitality group, which debuted in another pilgrim city Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu in 2011.
