Air India launches direct AmritsarBirmingham flight
Air India, a member of Star Alliance, has announced its first non-stop flight from Amritsar to Birmingham. The service that launched on February 20 flies the route twice a week.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, the airline’s Dreamliner takes off from Amritsar’s Siri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport at 1355 and arrives in Birmingham at 1715. The return flight departs at 1845 and arrives in Amritsar at 0745 the next day.
Before this, Air India had one daily service between Amritsar and Birmingham, with a connection via New Delhi. This service has been discontinued on Tuesdays and Thursdays, after the launch of the direct flight on February 20.
