THE CORDIS, AUCKLAND is getting a new tower expansion that will see the property become New Zealand’s largest hotel by way of room count by 2020. A total of 240 additional premium rooms and Cordis signature suites will be added to the property as part of a new 16-storey tower adjacent to the existing hotel building. The tower will also feature a brand new Club Lounge with panoramic views of the harbour and Auckland Tower, along with a new 400 sqm events space – the property currently has about 2,000 sqm of conference and meetings facilities. GRAND HYATT will debut in Kerala on the scenic Bolgatty Island. Launch dates for Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty haven’t been official announced yet, but the hospitality group is aiming for an opening sometime this month. The hotel has 265 rooms including 38 suites with facilities such as a minibar, work desk and a shower. In addition to these, there are four individual villas. Wifi is free to guests. F&B options are Colony Clubhouse and Grill, Malabar Café, Thai Restaurant, the pool bar and Grand Lounge. Other facilities on the property include a 3,000 sqm event space, a swimming pool, spa, kids play area, and a gym.
SIX SENSES FIJI, which is opening its doors in April this year is located on Malolo Island, and has access to a private 650-metre-long beach. The resort will feature 24 one- and two-bedroom pool villas, all with private pools, decks and outdoor showers. In addition to a wide range of water sports from snorkelling to surfing, the resort offers The Wellness Village consisting of a Six Senses Spa, gym, hot and cold whirlpools, an alchemy bar and an elevated treetop yoga pavilion. REVIVO, located in the hills of Nusa Dua in south Bali, will be opening this month. The resort will offer 16 Balinese-style suites, two of which will be four-bedroom villas. Also available is an 8,000-sqm fitness area, comprising a yoga barn, a martial arts hall, a reformer Pilates studio, a gym with TRX, boxing and kinesis equipment, a 25-metre-long lap pool and a 1,500-sqm landscaped park for outdoor exercises.
