BRI­TISH AIR­WAYS HAS re­vamped its World Trav­eller cater­ing, which will pro­vide long-haul pas­sen­gers with “more quan­tity and qual­ity”. The move fol­lows the car­rier’s re­cent re­vamp of its Club World din­ing ser­vice and forms part of a who­lescale £4.5 bil­lion in­vest­ment pro­gramme.

New op­tions in­clude pret­zels with the wel­come drink, four-course meal with starter, main, dessert, and cheese and bis­cuits, and a sec­ond meal “or sub­stan­tial snack” de­pend­ing on the length of the flight. On flights to the Mid­dle East (Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Ara­bia,) pas­sen­gers are served chicken in spicy Ara­bic sauce.

The sec­ond meal on shorter day­light long-haul flights, such as Dubai and New York, will con­sist of a sand­wich (eg egg and cress) and a choco­late or Nutri Grain bar. britishair­
