Nassauer Hof Wiesbaden, 25hours Hotel by Levi’s
BACKGROUND Positioned as a contemporary and unique hospitality concept, 25hours Hotel company is targeted at the millennial urban traveller. These design-oriented boutique hotels are open in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Zurich and Vienna and arrive in Cologne and Düsseldorf this year. I stayed at Frankfurt’s 25hours Hotel by Levi’s.
WHAT’S IT LIKE? The hotel is a partnership with iconic denim brand Levi’s. The brand has collaborated to the design process of the hotel. Minimalism and denim are unified to create the theme behind its aesthetics. Walking from the main station, the hotel building appears to look like three colossal cardboard boxes. Frankfurtbased architects Karl Dudler Architekten have transformed this post-war building. Blue is the obvious theme of the hotel and the colour is used dramatically in various shades across the lobby, the rooms and the restaurant Chez Ima.
WHERE IS IT? It is located in the vicinity of the Westend Tower and Frankfurt Central Railway Station. Frankfurt Airport is 15 minutes by local transport.
ROOM FACILITIES Keeping with the theme, rooms are categorised as M, L and XL rooms. Quite compact at 23 sqm, M rooms are ideal for a short stay in the city. Guests can access an iMac workstation at the lobby, free of charge MINI cars (depending on availability) and Schindelhauer bikes for rent.
RESTAURANTS AND BARS Chez Ima is its contemporary restaurant that features modern takes on old recipes. This includes salads, burgers and creative toppings. Breakfast was served here as well.
MEETING FACILITIES For a hotel of this size, its meeting spaces are impressive. There are two event rooms — Freiraum I by Levi’s and Freiraum II by Levi’s. They can be combined to a 100 sqm hall that can fit up to 80 people.
LEISURE FACILITIES The hotel has partnered with Fitness First club in the neighbourhood to oer its guests a day ticket that’s priced at €8/₹642.
VERDICT The hotel is a great option for someone who loves fashion and a bit of quirk in their travels. Ravi Lalwani
