e only remnants of the Covid-19 pandemic can be seen in the Danish capital’s airport. As of now there are no travel restrictions for travelling to the city if you meet the vaccination requirements. One must be vaccinated no more than 270 days ago (second dose of a two dose-vaccine) or 284 days ago (with a vaccine requiring only one dose). In October 2021, 74.5 per cent of the total population of the country had been fully vaccinated. e Economist Intelligence Unit released the 2021 Safe Cities Index, which ranked 60 cities based on 76 safety indicators — Copenhagen ranked in the top
ve of this index.

As Copenhagen has resumed functioning on the same level of pre-pandemic normalcy, there have been many developments in its aviation and hospitality industry. Scandinavian Airlines has announced plans to operate 230 routes to 120 destinations this summer, including the resumption of several UK services. e carrier said it would o er “an extensive summer programme” in response to rising demand, with 150 weekly ights between Scandinavia and North America, including a second daily Copenhagen-New York service. SAS is also set to resume ights from Copenhagen to Birmingham for the summer schedules, as well as from Oslo and Stockholm to Edinburgh, and up to 17 daily services will operate between Scandinavia and London.
Furthermore, Marriott has introduced its Tribute Portfolio brand to Scandinavia with the opening of a property in Copenhagen.
e Socialist, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is located in an old transformer station and features 31 rooms and suites, a bar, restaurant, lounge and wine cellar.
