Qualcomm launches upgrades to elevate wireless audio experience

Qualcomm Technologies International Ltd., has announced two new cuttingedge sound platforms: the Qualcomm S3 Gen 3 and Qualcomm S5 Gen 3 Sound platforms.

The Qualcomm S3 Gen 3 Sound platform has been designed to bring rich experiences to midtier devices.

It supports thirdparty solutions from the Qualcomm Voice & Music Extension Programme, an ecosystem of providers that offer technologies optimised to complement Qualcomm Sound platforms.

These technologies are validated in advance, helping OEMs balance time to market and provide consumers with all the audio features they want, including hearing enhancement, spatial audio, echo cancellation and health tracking.

Additionally, the platform brings audiophile sound quality to a broader range of listeners thanks to support for Snapdragon

Sound and 24bit 48kHz lossless music streaming.

AI POWER

In the premium tier, the Qualcomm S5 Gen 3 Sound Platform and its new architecture aims to drive developer innovation.

It also brings along a lot more AI power than its predecessor, which will allow the platform to power devices that can respond to how and where a device is being used.

This can in turn be seamless and responsive sound experiences at work, at home, and on the go.
