Haste Makes Waste?

Car India - - YOUR VIEWS -

I’m writing to you because I need some advice from you, or rather my dad does. He’s always been a Maruti fan and wanted to buy the new Ciaz since our old Esteem is past its sell-by date. However, I am of the opinion that we should not rush into this decision and should carefully consider all our options. After all, when we’re investing Rs 12 to 13 lakh, there’s no point in undue haste. We want a diesel manual car with full specifications and features. What other options should we consider apart, of course, from the Ciaz? I always read your advice in the “Your Views” section. It usually ends with an advice to test-drive all the options in order to make an informed decision. I want to make sure that my dad does that. Please advise me so that I may show him your response and convince him not to make a decision based on sentiment alone. Raj Sachin Sharma, by email Dear Ravikumar, Well, there are a few cars for consideration in that category. You may check out the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Škoda Rapid, or the Volkswagen Vento. As you correctly said, make sure take go for a test-drive in each of these to see which one your father fancies. Good luck!
