Porsche Cayenne e-hybrid Coming in September
Porsche ’sthird - generation Cayene arrived only recently and, with the manufacturer currently moving away from diesel-powered cars and shifting focus to e-mobility and hybrids, the new Cayenne e-hybrid takes the game further. It boasts of more power and torque as well as tech compared to its predecessor.
Power comes from a 3.0-litre V6 turbopetrol developing 340 PS and 450 Nm combined with an electric motor making 136 PS and 400 Nm. The net peak output is 462 PS and 700 Nm. The new Cayenne plug-in hybrid will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 5.0 seconds and go on to 253 km/h. It will also go 44 km at up to 135 km/h on electric power, thanks to the larger 14.1kWh battery pack. Power is sent to all wheels through the eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic gearbox especially developed for the new Cayenne range.
Also new are the head-up display (HUD), massage seats, and 22-inch light metal wheels. The new Cayenne e-hybrid will be launched in India at the end of September this year.
