Car India - - BULLETIN -

Pole star, now the electric performance sub-brand of Volvo Cars, have announced “Polestar Engineered” performance upgrades for the new 60 line of cars, including the XC60, V60, and the upcoming S60, as a complete “offer”, applying Polestar’s expertise to the cars’ wheels, brakes, suspension, and engine control unit. The upgrade will raise the output of the T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid power train from its net peak of 407 P Sand 640 Nm to 422 PS and 670 Nm. The offer also includes lightweight wheels , one-piece Brembo monobloc brake calipers finished in gold, blackchrome exhaust pipes, and multi-link front and rear suspension that incorporates Öhlins shock-absorbers with a dual-flow valve. The strut bar and adjustable shock-absorber design are shared with the Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid performance car.

Polestar Engineered makes its début on the new S60 premium sports saloon launched in June. The offer is exclusively for the topof-the-line T8 Twin Engine and is positioned above Volvo’s R-Design versions. Polestar Engineered will also be offered on the new V6 0 estate and XC60 SUV from next year, available globally in limited numbers.
