Maruti’s Three-row WagonR
Maruti Suzuki are reportedly closer to anouncing a thre-row WagonR. The popular “tall-boy” hatchback has garnered many a fan and a home owing to its affordable cost of acquisition and ownership as well as its practicality and frugal petrol engine.
A three-row, seven-seater, sub-four-metre WagonR would see the introduction of a budget people-carrier in a market where affordable seven-seaters are few and far between; on a car platform, anyway. The present WagonR measures 3,599 mm long on a 2,400-mm wheelbase. Even with a stretch, the WagonR would fit well into the sub-four-metre bracket. Expect it to continue with the popular K10B 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine making 68 PS and 90 Nm. A choice of a five-speed manual or an automated manual transmission should be offered as well.
