Vikram Pawah took the reins of the Ger­man auto giants BMW, their mo­tor­cy­cle coun­ter­part, and MINI over a year ago. Pawah took over from Frank Schloeder who re­turned to the Group’s Ger­man head­quar­ters where he as­sumed the po­si­tion of Head of Busi­ness Steer­ing – Lux­ury Class. Pawah has over 25 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the in­dus­try and has over­seen the growth of the fa­mous Bavar­ian brand, in­clud­ing their ex­pan­sion into the two-wheeler space in In­dia with the launch of BMW Mo­tor­rad.

Vikram was the MD at Har­ley-David­son In­dia be­fore join­ing BMW. He started his ca­reer at Jay Engi­neer­ing Works be­fore mov­ing to Honda Cars where he held mul­ti­ple po­si­tions both in In­dia and Aus­tralia.

BMW have been bring­ing in new mod­els and up­dates in the last year. They launched the new X3 and 6 Se­ries Gran Tur­ismo, along with the ex­cit­ing new M5. MINI also in­tro­duced the new Cooper range and as well as the new Coun­try­man.

Vikram Pawah has been given an ad­di­tional re­spon­si­bil­ity after be­ing ap­pointed as the CEO of BMW Aus­tralia. In the in­terim, Hans-Chris­tian Baer­tels will take charge as the act­ing pres­i­dent of BMW In­dia. As the chair­man of the BMW Group In­dia, Pawah will re­main com­mit­ted to the In­dian mar­ket in his ex­panded role even in the fu­ture.
