Vikram Pawah took the reins of the German auto giants BMW, their motorcycle counterpart, and MINI over a year ago. Pawah took over from Frank Schloeder who returned to the Group’s German headquarters where he assumed the position of Head of Business Steering – Luxury Class. Pawah has over 25 years of experience in the industry and has overseen the growth of the famous Bavarian brand, including their expansion into the two-wheeler space in India with the launch of BMW Motorrad.
Vikram was the MD at Harley-Davidson India before joining BMW. He started his career at Jay Engineering Works before moving to Honda Cars where he held multiple positions both in India and Australia.
BMW have been bringing in new models and updates in the last year. They launched the new X3 and 6 Series Gran Turismo, along with the exciting new M5. MINI also introduced the new Cooper range and as well as the new Countryman.
Vikram Pawah has been given an additional responsibility after being appointed as the CEO of BMW Australia. In the interim, Hans-Christian Baertels will take charge as the acting president of BMW India. As the chairman of the BMW Group India, Pawah will remain committed to the Indian market in his expanded role even in the future.
