Leclerc and Raikkonen
to Swap Seats in 2019
Charles Leclerc, the new racing prodigy, will move to Ferrari next season, fulfilling one of the final requests of departed FIAT head Sergio Marchionne. The French racing driver was in the running for some time now, following several standout performances with the Alfa Romeo Sauber team who run Ferrari engines. Kimi Raikkonen, meanwhile, will take up the Sauber seat Leclerc vacates, essentially returning to the team he made his début with back in 2001. The Finn’s latest signing is a two-year contract, so fans can expect to see the Iceman through the 2020 racing season as well.
