The all-new Hyundai Santro has made a dramatic comeback, reappearing in an all-new avatar for a modern car market, priced from Rs 3.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
The familiar tall-boy design has been retained, albeit with new styling cues and modern kit. Hyundai claim improved isolation for engine, road and wind noise, and a strong body structure.
Features are the area where the new car really shines, packing a 7.0inch centre touchscreen, smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or MirrorLink and iBlue audio remote, as well as voice recognition. The new Hyundai Santro uses a 1.1-litre four-cylinder petrol engine making 69 PS and 99 Nm. It offers an option of petrol manual or automated transmission or a 59-PS/84-Nm CNG manual version.
The Santro is now available in nine variants, priced between Rs 3.90 lakh and Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). You may read our first drive review on page 18 of this issue.
