Vizhinjam deep-water, multipurpo­se, internatio­nal seaport and container trans-shipment terminal is being built under the PPP mode. The Kerala government has awarded Adani Ports and SEZ a 40-year contract with the option to extend it for another 20 years. Minister for Ports A Devarkovil and the Adani Group announced the project would be completed by December 2023.
