IFAT In­dia 2018 was held re­cently in Mumbai. It is the lead­ing trade fair for wa­ter, sewage, solid waste and re­cy­cling which pro­vides an op­por­tu­nity to in­dus­try ex­perts, pol­i­cy­mak­ers and busi­ness lead­ers to dis­cuss re­gional strate­gies on nu­mer­ous en­vi­ron­men­tal chal­lenges and seek so­lu­tions through for­mal in­ter­ac­tions. IFAT In­dia pro­vided an in­ter­na­tional plat­form for key in­dus­try play­ers to show­case their lat­est tech­no­log­i­cal in­no­va­tions which can prove to pro­vide so­lu­tions to var­i­ous en­vi­ron­men­tal is­sues in In­dia.

The ex­hi­bi­tion pro­vided a de­lib­er­a­tive plat­form to cre­ate po­ten­tial so­lu­tions to these prob­lems through lat­est tech­nolo­gies avail­able glob­ally, panel dis­cus­sions and other sup­port­ing pro­grams. An In­no­va­tion Ex­change Fo­rum was held where many new tech­nolo­gies were in­tro­duced. Derek Greedy, a mem­ber of In­ter­na­tional Solid Waste As­so­ci­a­tion (ISWA), spoke about Cir­cu­lar Econ­omy and Re­source Man­age­ment. There was also a Sem­i­nar on In­dus­trial Emis­sion Mon­i­tor­ing Tech­niques, where speak­ers dis­cussed the var­i­ous ad­vances in tech­niques in in­dus­trial emis­sion mon­i­tor­ing.
