RES­I­DENCY CLUB HON­OURS AWARDEES WITH PUNE’S PRIDE AWARDS

Res­i­dency Club cel­e­brated its 26th glo­ri­ous year through a unique ini­tia­tive by hon­our­ing the spe­cially in­sti­tuted Pune’s Pride Awards, to those com­mit­ted in­di­vid­u­als rec­og­nized for their pi­o­neer­ing con­tri­bu­tions in var­ied fields, thereby mak­ing the city of Pune proud of them. Ini­ti­ated by RK Agrawal, Group Chair­man of Bramha­corp Ltd, the suc­cess­ful event wit­nessed awards given to well-known in­di­vid­u­als com­ing from di­verse sec­tors, such as sports, the cor­po­rate world, arts and aca­demics, along with one Spe­cial Award. The event started with the light­ing of the tra­di­tional lamp by the dig­ni­taries and the Ad­vi­sory Board Mem­bers of the club. Pad­mashree Lila Poon­awalla in­tro­duced the Chief Guest, Dr Baba Kalyani, af­ter which RK Agrawal fe­lic­i­tated him and the Guest of Honor, Dr Ajay Chan­dan­wale, with a me­mento. The Life­time Achieve­ment Award was pre­sented to Film­maker Su­mi­tra Bhave this year by Dr Baba Kalyani. In ad­di­tion to the awards, Res­i­dency Club also rec­og­nizes the supreme sac­ri­fices of those valiant sol­diers, who laid their lives for the ser­vice and pro­tec­tion of our Na­tion, by pre­sent­ing sew­ing ma­chines to the ‘Veer-Nari’ of such unsung heroes.
