Punekars take a nostalgic trip down summery memory lanes

As a 80s kid, my childhood, like that of the others of my generation, was devoid of any tech governing our lives. Being the holiday season, summer time was only for family and friends. My fondest memory is visiting the erstwhile University Chowk Fountain with my parents at least twice a week and doing everything from playing around in the water and gorging on cotton candies and ice to just sitting on the parapet and watching the fountain dance in the wind. I sorely miss that. Looking forward to this summer: every summer is back to basics for my close friends and me. In our spare time, we go around scouting for the same street goodies that we loved as kids! So it’s the s and the ice in the company of friends that I look forward to over the next couple of months to keep my childhood memories alive!
