Citadel - - PUNEITES SPEAK -

The civic body seems to be really unprepared. The clean city tag is like a joke and considering how we have power cuts with even a small sprinkle of rain, the allied departments don’t seem to be very well prepared either. With regard to PC C, I can’t really comment honestly, since the last time I was in PC C was in January. But I don’t think they are better off. I am from Wanowrie-Kondhwa area, so I can just comment on my immediate vicinity, ie, the South and South- ast of Pune. The Katraj-Kondhwa road is a nightmare to be on. This, apart from the uncleared trash, strays and pigs and the stench of uncleared garbage, makes it very difficult to drive on this stretch. y main concern is that the roads have many manholes and potholes that can be very risky and dangerous, as accidents occur very easily. What I am really angry about is the fact that year after year, the civic authorities have not been able to do a thing about the deplorable sight of these roads. Can these officials wake to this grim reality? The sooner the better!
