New compressor from Atlas Copco

Atlas Copco has launched a highefficiency oilinjected screw compressor. Termed as GA 90+-160 (VSD+), the oil-injected screw compressor range is designed to consume less energy and facilitate ease of installation as well as service. Featuring stateof-the-art compression element with ‘Smart Injection’ technology that is coupled with highly efficient oil-cooled IE4 and IE5 motors that are said to require no service interventions, the screw compressor has been equipped with a new Elektronikon touch controller. The controller comes with integrated smart algorithms to further aid reduction in energy consumption. Available in both water-and aircooled versions, with fixed or variable speed drive and with an optional integrated dryer, the GA compressors are said to be particularly well suited to the mining industry, metal processing and power plants where the IP66 drive train is said to offer complete protection from environmental dust and moisture ensuring reliable operation under the harshest of environmental conditions.
