Fiem partners Asian Industry Co. And Toyota Tsusho

Fiem Industries Limited has signed a joint venture agreement with Aisan Industry Co., Ltd., Japan and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, to manufacture fuel pump module and IC connector for three-wheelers in India. This is in view of fuel injection systems becoming mandatory for two-wheelers and threewheelers with effect from April 2020 under Bharat Stage VI (BS VI) norms. The advanced emission control system manufacturing joint venture will set up an infrastructure in Salarpur Industrial Area of Rajasthan. To be precise, it would be in the ELCINA Electronic Manufacturing Cluster and attract an initial investment of Rupees one-billion in the form of share capital by the JV Partners. Production is scheduled to start from April 2019. Apart from Asian Industry and Toyota Tsusho, Fiem has also signed a technical assistance agreement with Toyodenso Co. Ltd., Japan, to manufacture ‘Bank Angle Sensor’ in India. It is said to be a critical component for driver safety.
