ZF expands CV product portfolio
ZF has announced that it continues to expand its CV product portfolio with the start of a shock absorber production line in India. Part of ZF’s regional headquarters at Chakan, Pune, the new production line will have an annual installed manufacturing capacity of 0.7 million units. The Group plans to increase the capacity to three million units in the coming three to four years. The completely localised production line will manufacture a comprehensive range of shock absorbers for commercial vehicles and industrial applications like trucks, buses, and cabin and axle shock absorbers. The production line will be established in the existing multiproduct facility and will offer operational synergies with the current set-up. It would help the company to optimally utilise its resources. Following the manufacturing processes used in different global plant locations, the new production line will add shock absorbers to an extensive range of products for commercial vehicles ZF offers in India. These include transmissions, axles, chassis components and steering systems.
