techXpert 2018
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) held the second edition of its nationwide contest techXpert to honour the best service technicians from across the BharatBenz sales and service network. Involving more than 2,700 applicants in the initial stage, the contest involved theory and practical challenges with BharatBenz dealer representatives joining members of DICV management in the closing event on December 20, 2018, to honour three teams that emerged as the best techXperts. Terming the exercise as a culmination of the investment by DICV in training as part of their ‘ProServ’ customer experience initiative, the techXpert 2018 contest, as an integral part of the BharatBenz trucking experience, saw the best participants being chosen from over 2,700 service personnel who participated. Completing further sessions at DICV’s three regional service training centers in Nagpur, Chennai and New Delhi, the participants tackled the second stage, which included real-time case studies covering process knowledge, overall complaint resolution approach, usage of special tools as well as adherence to safety guidelines and practices. The bestperforming nine teams advanced to the techXpert finals held over two days at Chennai. Based on advanced case studies, technical and decision making skills deploying DICV’s inhouse online technical information platform ‘Ascent’, diagnostic systems and application of tools, three teams made it to the top.
