After demonstrating innovative products at Bauma China 2018, Volvo Construction Equipment India at Bauma Conexpo India 2018 presented its new wheel loader and asphalt compactor models. Aimed at infrastructure projects and designed to meet the demands for high-performing, reliable construction equipment, averred Dimitrov Krishnan, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Volvo CE India, “With the introduction of the two new models, the company also aims at bringing IoT and telematics into the construction sector.” To help operators increase the uptime, the new product range features advanced technologies like geofencing, live tracking among other related solutions. Going forward the company expects these technologies to undergo another iteration of change given the rise in automation levels. Opined Krishnan, “It would require new skill learning for operators.” Besides the new launches, the company also displayed the EC200D and EC210D excavators, EC250D crawler excavator, SD110BA soil compactor, P5320B paver and HB38 hydraulic breaker attachment. Volvo CE and Volvo Financial Services also launched competitive financing schemes and on-thespot credit approvals for customers. Volvo Penta India showcased its BS (CEV/Trem) IV technology in a dedicated ‘Area for the Future’ where operators were encouraged to view and discuss the Volvo Penta engines and technology on display.
