India’s first hydrogen fuelling station in Leh
The National Thermal Power Corporation Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC-REL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has invited a tender to set up India’s first hydrogen fueling station in Leh. Following on the heels of the NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd. tender for procurement of fuel cell buses for Ladakh, the two entities will join forces to execute the Green Mobility Project in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The project will be powered by a dedicated 1.2 MW solar plant to make the hydrogen fueling station completely green. The project is expected to be a major boost to tourism in the region and usher in a new era of emission-free transport in and around.
