First Volvo Coach post VECV integration

Post the integration with VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), Volvo Buses India has launched its first product. The first 13.5 m, 4x2 coach for the country will offer up to 10 per cent higher seating capacity and 20 per cent higher sleeper berth capacity. It will additionally offer 25 per cent higher luggage carrying capacity. Averred Akash Passey, President, Bus Division, VECV (A Volvo Group and Eicher Motors JV), “The Volvo 9400 B8R 13.5 m 4x2 coach is part of our pioneering track record of offering market leading bus-based mobility solutions in India.” Passey assured customers of a broader range of innovative market adapted offers from the new bus division. He also drew attention to an upcoming Eicher front-engine coach range that could be launched in the near term. The Volvo 9400 modular platform can spring variants like the 12 m 4x2 and a 14.5 m 6x2 coach.
