SUN Mobility introduces MaaS
SUN Mobility has announced its new service. The Integrated Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) offers customers a all-inclusive bundled solution. It comprises electric vehicles with the flexibility of an unlimited swap plan for the duration of the contract. It is claimed to help fleet operators scale up business in an assetlight manner while utilising SUN Mobility’s low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with the USP of a two-minute swap. The objective being to help customers deploy these electric vehicles without having to worry about the high upfront costs, difficult financing, and costly maintenance, and warranties. The company’s battery swap technology uses Smart Batteries that are smaller, modular and interoperable across two-wheelers and three-wheelers from various OEMs and include tamper-proof GPS and advanced telematics. The company also operates a network of SWAP POINT™ across major cities to offer quick interchange stations that offer a high-throughput and optimal thermal conditioning for the batteries. Powered by a cloudbased IoT platform called Smart Network, vehicle and battery-data are generated and processed in realtime paving the way for intelligent decision making for fleet and network management. SUN Mobility aims to onboard over a million vehicles by 2025 to its battery swapping platform.
