Apollo BHIM for SCVs

Apollo tyres has introduced a new range of bias tyres named ‘BHIM’, specifically designed for Small Commercial Vehicles (SCVs). Satish Sharma, President, Apollo Tyres Ltd said, “We have been eyeing this growing category of small commercial vehicle tyres for some time. Cross-functional team of Marketing, Customer Service and R&D, along with the consumer’s voice, has helped us develop this product. Considering the performance of these tyres in our internal benchmarking and extensive testing in real world conditions, we are confident of it being a runaway success.”The new range of tyres comprises ‘Bhim Lug’ and ‘Bhim rib’. It features a new, aggressive tread pattern, window design, and side wall design. The open groove design offers higher heat dissipation and durability, while the less sinusoidal and straighter ribs offer good steerability. The dual angle tread orientation of the Bhim Lug tyres provides better traction and uniform wear and aids in avoiding shoulder wear. To ensure optimum utility of the tyre, high mileage tread compound and more rubber mass are provided at the wearing zone.
