Road Transport & Logistics Excellence Initiative

Bridgestone India in collaboration with CII Institute of Logistics have launched the ‘Road Transport & Logistics Excellence Initiative’. Aimed at felicitating drivers in the transport industry, this initiative, it is said, will help address the image of the professionals in the sector and also gain insights on road safety, fuel efficiency, tyre mileage, overall cost optimisation etc. In addition to this, a professional driver’s platform called ‘drivers guild’ is also put in place to help connect various locations for similar developmental initiatives in the sector. The initiative is not only expected to orient truck drivers and enhance their skill sets, it will also provide them the desired security, dignity and help them gain the respect they deserve. Giving the drivers equal opportunity to share their views and expertise for improving the transport industry, the platform will help develop a safe and sustainable environment for the complete transport and logistics ecosystem.
