New BKT manufacturing facility

Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT) has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. The state-ofthe-art facility is spread across an area of over 22 acres. Situated at Waluj in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, the new facility is built at an investment of around USD 56 million. The facility will produce medium and smalldiameter tyres designed for agricultural and industrial machinery. With an annual production capacity of around 30,000 MT of off-highway tyres, the new Greenfield plant is located at a distance of about five kilometres from BKT’s first facility in Waluj. Aiming to expand its presence in the off-highway market, the company is looking at increasing its production and making it more efficient.
