Green technology transfer at a low cost

At the recent UN Secretary General’s meeting, the finance, mitigation and adaptation for tackling climate change took centre stage. With a backdrop of the Government’s ambitious target of 450 GW renewable energy by 2030, the recent IPCC findings and UNFCCC synthesis report found a mention. As per the findings, developed countries are known to have surpassed estimated emission allowances between 2008-20. Developed countries were called upon at the conference for extending mitigation and financial support to the developing countries.
