Rank 46 in Global Innovation Index 2021

India has earned the 46th rank in the Global Innovation Index 2021. Due credit has been awarded to scientific departments like the Department of Science and Technology among others. Organisations like the NITI Aayog have been credited for policy led innovations like in the electric vehicles segment, nanotechnology and alternative energy sources. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been credited for being the torchbearer of this innovationled economy.
