TATA motors bags order for XPRES-T from BluSmart

Tata motors will supply 3500 XPRES-T electric vehicles to BluSmart. Tata motors signed a MoU with the startup for expanding the electric fleet across the region of Delhi-NCR. Based on the contract, Ramesh Dorairajan, Tata Motors, said, “We are delighted to partner with Blusmart Mobility and we are thankful to them for continued efforts in growing their electric fleet in Delhi-NCR.” Speaking of developing XPRES-T for the commercial purpose, he pointed, “The XPRES-T EV comes with an optimal battery size, captive fast charging solutions, which will ensure outstandin­gly low cost of ownership in addition to safety and passenger comfort, making it a comprehens­ive and attractive propositio­n for fleet owners and operators.” Commenting on the partnershi­p with Tata motors, Anmol Jaggi, Chief Executive Officer, Blusmart, said, “With our recent Series A funding of USD 25 million, we at BluSmart Mobility are well capitalise­d and expanding steadily into the Delhi NCR market. Tata Motors has been a great partner for a young startup like us and has supported our growth momentum significan­tly in times of a global supply chain crisis.” This partnershi­p with Tata Motors reinforces our belief in our electric journey and gears us well to achieve bigger scales at a much faster pace,” he mentioned. XPRES-T are electric vehicles offered in two variants which offer 165kms of range with 16.5kWh motor and the latter offers 213kms of range coupled with 21.5kWh motor.
