Piaggio 3W EV Mumbai experience centre
Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd inaugurated its first three-wheeler EV experience centre, AV Motors in Mumbai. The dealership was inaugurated by Member of Parliament, Gajanan Kirtikar and Sachinkumar Giri – Deputy Transport Commissioner Maharashtra. This first of its kind experience centre in Maharashtra will showcase complete Apé Electrik range of vehicles including the Apé E-Xtra, the electric cargo and Apé E-City, the passenger brand. Gajanan Kirtikar, Member of Parliament said, “It gives me immense pleasure to be here today to inaugurate Maharashtra’s first Electric three-wheeler Experience centre of Piaggio vehicles Pvt. Ltd. The primary objective of Maharashtra EV Policy 2021 is to accelerate adoption of BEVs in the state so that they contribute to 10 percent of new vehicle registrations by 2025. We are doing our best to provide ease of doing business facilities to automakers like Piaggio and we are proud that Piaggio is making this high-tech vehicles in our state at their production facility in Baramati.” The new Apé E-Xtra FX comes with 9.5 Kw power output. It comes with a full metal body architecture fitted with a 6 ft. cargo deck length. It is also customisable for applications like the delivery van, garbage collector etc. The passenger vehicle, Apé E-City FX is claimed to have superior features and a comfortable ride.
ZF Friedrichshafen AG has added a new product family, eWorX to enable emission-free Commercial Vehicle(CV) Power Take-Offs (PTOs). Offered for effectively electrifying CVs, the all-in-one solution supports vehicle and body manufacturers with their transformation to electric vehicles. The product also significantly reduces noise, facilitating its use in cities and residential areas in particular. The core of this next-generation solution is the modular ZF eCubE which comprises power electronics, a control unit and software packages custom-made to suit the application. It links the vehicle battery and the modular electric ZF ePTO, which in turn drives the equipment. “With eWorX, we have simplified the integration of equipment into new platforms and are providing the market with a new standard interface for the operation of work bodies,” commented Kleber Vinhas – Vice President - Head of Commercial Vehicle Powertrain Modules.
