Mahindra and Reliance Industries partner for EVs

Reliance BP Mobility Ltd. (RBML) operating under the brand name Jio-bp and the Mahindra Group, announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU will explore the development of a range of EVs and associated services besides identifying synergies in low-carbon and conventional fuels. The MoU focusses on two aspects: To explore creation of solutions on battery swapping technology for electric three-wheelers and to explore business models like Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) and Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS). It will also focus on charging solutions provided by Jio-bp for Mahindra vehicles. Jio-bp has opened its first mobility station in Maharashtra which also holds an EV charging infrastructure.
