TII forays into electric CVs

TI Cycles of India (TII), part of the Murugappa Group announced the Montra brand to lead its Electric Vehicles (EVs) business. Montra will enter the EVs segment business with a focus on the last-mile delivery and personal mobility. Under last mile commute TII’s first offering will be an electric three-wheeler expected to launch in Q1FY2223. In the last mile delivery segment, three-wheeler electric cargo vehicles will be introduced. Commenting on the announcement, Vellayan Subbiah, Managing Director, Tube Investments of India said, “Our foray into EVs is a step forward in line with our long-term vision, to be an integral part of e-mobility and revolutionise the automotive segment.”
