OSM to build largest 3W manufactur­ing plant

Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) plans to build the world’s largest threewheel­er plant in India with an investment of USD 250 million. The plant will have an installed capacity of one million EV three-wheelers, tweeted the company. To be built in the state of Karnataka, the megafactor­y will start production by FY24. The constructi­on of this factory will be completed in three phases. The plant will manufactur­e the full-fledged range of Omega Seiki Mobility electric three-wheelers, including Rage+, Rage+ RapidEV, Rage+ Frost, Rage+ Swap, and Rage+ Tipper. It is also likely to manufactur­e an electric threewheel­er passenger carrier, OSM Stream, which will be introduced soon. The company, has also recently announced that it plans to foray into the trucks, tractors and drones market.
