-

Badve Engineering and Israeli startup, EVR Motors have announced their strategic collaboration to manufacture the latter’s proprietary Trapezoidal Stator – Radial Flux Permanent Magnet (RFPM) electric motors in India. Claimed to be half the weight and size of similar competing motors, RFPM motors are equipped with superior power and torque performance. The Pune-based tier1 automotive component firm has already initiated the joint development and localisation process of these motors at one of its facilities in Pune. These motors are designed for two- and three-wheelers. It is also currently developing prototypes to cater to Indian OEMs. The company aims at scaling up its production to an annual capacity of half a million units by mid2023 to meet the increasing EV demand. Best suited for adoption in the multi- terrain Indian landscape, these motors provide an enthralling experience to Indian riders, claimed Sumedh Badve, President-EV Division, Badve Engineering. “This partnership is in line with our core vision of sustainability and net-zero emissions through green mobility,” he added.
