Electric Thermo King trailer

Thermo King®, a Trane Technologies brand known for transport temperature control solutions, has completed initial testing of the a battery-powered refrigerated trailer unit. This is with retailers Walmart and Loblaws, as well as Martin Brower, a leading supply chain solutions provider for restaurants worldwide. The trailer unit performed well over more than 2,500 hours of operation, ensuring high-quality climate control to keep food and other goods fresh. Aimed at de carbonising the cold chain, commented Karin De Bondt, President of Thermo King America, “By partnering with our customers, we can help accelerate the industry’s transformation to electrification by applying valuable insights from data collected during these trials.” The company leveraged Thermo King TracKing® telematics to document customer operations data and learnings with each demonstration.
