Senior citizens can get discount on two-year and three-year policies. • Henceforth, all claim documents submitted by a policyholder to a thirdparty administrator (TPA) can also be in electronic format, though this has not been mandated. • Health insurance companies have been permitted to cover alternative medicines (Ayush, homeopathy, etc.), provided such treatment has been received at a government hospital or in an institute recognized by the government.
