In August, I had submitted an applicatio­n of mobile number porting from Airtel to Idea. Airtel took more than the expected time to port, and that too after I had reached their appellate authority. On 13 September 2013, I supposedly got the last bill from Airtel for Rs 409 and that was paid on September 20. I have the receipt of the same. Thereon, no bills were issued by the company. However, I received a letter dated 9 December 2013 from Idea stating that Airtel had intimated TRAI that I had not cleared my outstandin­g bill to them. I wonder how Airtel was expecting me to clear the bill without sharing the same with me. When contacted, the customer care said that as I had chosen e-bill (bills via email) they could not mail me the bill after I had ported to another service provider.
