The service provider is supposed to send the bill or intimate the charges payable by the customer before the billing cycle. If no intimation is received, it is in the interest of the consumer to contact the customer care for bill/payment to avoid penalty. In any case, reminder for payment of bill should be avoided as far as possible. You must be aware of your billing cycle and if you think that the bill was due for the period when you were using the services of Airtel (before porting), then you must clear the outstandin­g.
