During the service visit of Dish TV, I bought a ‘service care pack’ worth Rs 299, as it offered free replacement of set-top box, viewing card, LNBF and alignment for one year. When I realized that signal reception was not working properly, I called for the technician. He found a fault in the set-top box and asked me to pay for replacement charges. When I told him about the service care pack, he said that it would become valid only after one month of purchase – a fact that was hidden at the time of sale of the pack. Moreover, there is no document showing terms and conditions where it is clarified that the ‘service pack’ becomes active after a month of purchase. Anil Kumar Gour
