We trusted the brand Prestige and bought their Classic Steel Kitchen chimney from Serampore Gallery. As per seller’s advice, we called Prestige’s customer care to install the same. They took their own time to install and thereon the problem started. Every time we switched on the chimney, one or the other appliance in the kitchen would get affected – that is, not function properly. Earlier the Prestige technician blamed our electrical wiring, but later it was establishe­d that the chimney’s circuits were faulty. The customer care accepted that the chimney was defective and assured that it would be replaced within four days. However, weeks have gone by without any word from the company.
