Trai regulations provide that any plan of the service provider shall be valid for six months. The services provided to the customer and all subsequent changes therein shall be those agreed upon with him in writing prior to providing the service or changing its provisions by service provider. If the service provider unilaterally intends to restrict or cease service to the customer, a notice shall be sent to the customer in advance. If the service provider does not follow the practice, the consumer can lodge a complaint with the concerned nodal officer of the service provider and challenge the action.
